Ebony and Ivory

Rick Hall was a quiet giant in music. He ran Fame Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. See the excellent doc, aptly titled "Muscle Shoals," for his musical bona fides. But, in his own way, a civil rights pioneer. Black and white musicians collaborating in the deep, deep south in the mid '60's, as equals. Thank you for service, sir.
